Dr. Hj. Siti Malaiha Dewi, S.Sos., M.Si., CIQaR is an academic and higher education leader who has made significant contributions to strengthening the quality of higher education in Indonesia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in State Administration from Diponegoro University, a Master’s degree in Sociology from Gadjah Mada University, a Master’s degree in Public Administration, and a Doctorate in Public Administration. Her expertise lies in the field of public policy, with a focus on gender, inclusivity, and institutional strengthening.
Throughout her career at UIN Sunan Kudus, she has served as the Dean of the Faculty of Da’wah and Islamic Communication, and currently holds the position of Vice Rector for Academic and Institutional Affairs. In this capacity, she plays a role in strengthening academic governance, developing Outcome Based Education (OBE)-based curricula, refining course unit designs (RPS), and improving the quality of graduates and higher education institutions.
Her academic contributions are also reflected in reputable international publications, including “Disability Law Reform in Indonesia: Analyzing Policy Gap Implementation in Kudus Regency” (2025), “The Potential Rise of Populism Among the Indonesian Muslim Middle Class Post COVID-19 Pandemic” (2024), and “Islamic Revivalism: Dynamics of Islamic Parties in Legalizing Islamic Law Policies in Indonesia and Malaysia” (2024). These works demonstrate her attention to inclusive policy issues, socio-political dynamics, and policy reform.
The work of Dr. Siti Malaiha Dewi is also relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
