Semarang (6/23) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP UNDIP), through its Department of Public Administration, organized Publikers Homecoming Day 2026 under the theme “One Home, Many Contributions.” The event was held online via Zoom and featured an alumni talk show entitled “From Campus to Public Impact: Alumni Stories in Governance, Policy, and Public Leadership.” The program brought together Public Administration alumni from various graduating classes and professional backgrounds.
The event served as both a reunion platform and a strategic forum to strengthen relationships between alumni and their alma mater. Through this initiative, alumni were positioned not only as part of the institution’s history but also as valuable partners in supporting the development of the Department of Public Administration and FISIP UNDIP at both national and international levels.
The event was attended by Dean of FISIP UNDIP, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, S. Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., M.Comm.St., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Resources, Prof. Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., Head of the Department and Head of the Undergraduate Public Administration Program, Retna Hanani, S.Sos., MPP., as well as Head of the Doctoral Program in Public Administration and Secretary of the Undergraduate Public Administration Program, Dr. Amni Zarkasyi Rahman. The event was also attended by the FISIP UNDIP Tracer Study and Alumni Team, lecturers from the Department of Public Administration, and alumni from various cohorts.
In his remarks, the Dean emphasized that alumni are strategic assets who play a significant role in building the institution’s reputation. According to him, alumni achievements across government institutions, international organizations, businesses, and professional sectors reflect the quality of education provided by the university.

“The success of our alumni is the success of FISIP UNDIP. Therefore, the relationship between the university and its alumni must continue to be nurtured and strengthened. Through initiatives like this, we aim to build sustainable networks while enhancing our employer reputation, which has become an important indicator in various international rankings. The greater the impact our alumni make across different sectors, the stronger the reputation of FISIP UNDIP and Public Administration will become at both national and global levels,” said Teguh Yuwono.
Echoing this view, S. Rouli Manalu highlighted the importance of maintaining long-term engagement with alumni as part of the faculty’s broader development ecosystem.
“We hope that the connection between alumni and their alma mater does not end at graduation. Alumni remain an important part of FISIP UNDIP’s journey. Through strong and sustainable networks, alumni can become strategic partners in creating collaboration opportunities, expanding professional and international connections, and supporting the institution’s future reputation and growth,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Retna Hanani, Head of the Department of Public Administration, noted that the homecoming event provided an important opportunity to bring together multiple generations of alumni in a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

The talk show featured two distinguished alumni speakers from diverse professional backgrounds. Syinta Widiyastyuti, S.A.P., LL.M in IR, a Digital Marketing Strategist at Linked Media and recipient of the Shanghai Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) Award, shared insights on international career development, global networking, and adaptability in today’s dynamic professional environment.
The second speaker, Wildan Ardiansyah, S.A.P., Head of Administration at the Bureau of Organization, Human Resources, and Bureaucratic Reform within the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, discussed governance practices, bureaucratic reform, and the contributions of Public Administration alumni to Indonesia’s public sector development.
Moderated by Jesia Charel Jovansa, S.A.P. from PT Pertamina Marine Solution, the discussion was highly interactive. Participants actively engaged in conversations about career development, workplace challenges, future competencies, and opportunities for alumni contributions to their alma mater.
The participation of the FISIP UNDIP Tracer Study and Alumni Team further strengthened the faculty’s efforts to develop a more comprehensive alumni database while fostering stronger engagement with graduates. Alumni career trajectories and achievements provide valuable insights for institutional development and the enhancement of FISIP UNDIP’s employer reputation.
Through Publikers Homecoming Day 2026, the Department of Public Administration and FISIP UNDIP reaffirm their commitment to maintaining sustainable relationships with alumni. Alumni networks are expected to serve not only as a platform for reconnecting but also as strategic assets that support tracer studies, strengthen graduate reputation, expand professional networks, and contribute to FISIP UNDIP’s vision of becoming a world-class faculty.
