Semarang, May 29, 2026 – The Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University (FISIP UNDIP), extends its highest appreciation and respect to Dra. Nina Widowati, M.Si., who officially entered retirement after 40 years of dedicated service as an educator, academic, and an integral part of the Department’s journey. A retirement appreciation ceremony was held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the Dean’s Office Meeting Room, FISIP UNDIP, in an atmosphere filled with warmth, gratitude, and respect for her remarkable four decades of service.
Throughout her four decades of dedication, Dra. Nina Widowati, M.Si. made significant contributions to the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through teaching, research, and community engagement. Her commitment, exemplary character, and dedication to mentoring students and supporting institutional development have left a lasting impact on the academic community. Generations of students, alumni, and colleagues have benefited from her invaluable contributions and unwavering commitment to higher education.
The retirement ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University, including Dean Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs S. Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., M.Comm.St., Ph.D., and Vice Dean for Resources Prof. Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D. Their presence reflected the Faculty’s appreciation and recognition of Dra. Nina Widowati’s longstanding dedication and contributions to FISIP UNDIP.
The event was also attended by the management of the Department of Public Administration, administrative staff, and fellow lecturers who had worked alongside her throughout her academic career. The gathering was marked by a strong sense of collegiality and appreciation, celebrating a lifetime of service and commitment to the university.
In her farewell message to colleagues in the Department of Public Administration, she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the friendships and togetherness that had been built over the years.
“Thank you for our beautiful and warm friendship. There will be one more empty chair tomorrow, but my heart will never cease to be with the happiness we shared in this room. Thank you endlessly for your affection and support,” she said.
She also conveyed her sincere apologies for any shortcomings during her years of service and expressed her hope that the bonds of friendship would continue in the future.
“If I have made any mistakes or shortcomings, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness. May we always be blessed with good health and happiness, and may our friendship continue beyond this moment,” she added.
Her retirement from formal duties as a lecturer marks the end of an extraordinary chapter, leaving behind cherished memories for colleagues, administrative staff, students, and alumni. Although she has entered retirement, the values of dedication, collegiality, and commitment that she embodied throughout her 40 years of service will continue to inspire future generations within the Department of Public Administration, FISIP UNDIP.
